About

The Western Groundfish Conference provides the opportunity for marine scientists and professionals across a range of related fields to interact with colleagues and present research on groundfish biology, assessment, conservation and management strategies, focused specifically on the Pacific Coast of Canada and the United States.

The 20th Western Groundfish ConferenceĀ represents a continued tradition dating back to the first WGC conference at Gleneden Beach, Oregon in 1981. Since then, the conference has been hosted every two years at a variety of Pacific Coast communities, from California to Alaska.
